Want to move past `Euphoria`, say ex-members

New Delhi: Their ex-band `Euphoria` is not what they wish to talk about because Benjamine Pinto and Hitesh Madan want to concentrate on the new beginnings.

The duo were a part of the popular band until they separated last year and since then have kept mum about what led to the break-up.

"Let`s not talk about why did we leave the band? When the time is right the world will come to know. We want to concentrate on the positive things and not talk about the negative ones," said Hitesh.

The two now along with Hitesh`s cousin Lokesh Madan, who left his career in the corporate world, have started there own musical band `Eka`.

"Eka came into existence by luck! When me (Hitesh) and Benji left the band, my brother came to Mumbai around that time. It`s then we all got in touch and decided to do this.

And as luck would have had it, we all gelled so well," Hitesh said who was in the capital along with his band members to perform at Aria`s Summer Fest Iris.

"It`s the songs video that helped made Euphoria it`s name. Earlier no one even recognised the song `Maaeri` till the time video came out. Audio visual medium sells the music," Benjamine said.

When asked Lokesh about how did he end up into the music world he said

"I was always interested in music. I was doing pretty well there but I came to Mumbai and heard that Hitesh was planning to do something, I thought now is the time to chase your dreams."

The band members are also keen on composing music for Bollywood and have even got few offers.

"We know that Bollywood is one medium which has the farthest reach and we have got few offers as well. Let`s see what happens," Lokesh said.
