Washington: ‘Rolling in The Deep’ singer Adele has again topped the US pop charts, this time making history for a non-new release in the Billboard Hot 100, by making an 18-spot jump.
Adele`s ballad ‘Someone Like You’ was released in February this year and has reached the number one position this week, reported Contactmusic.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, following Adele`s performance at the Mtv Video Music Awards on 28 August, the track has sold 275,000 downloads, in the week ending 4 September.
Earlier, this summer, her superhit ‘Rolling in The Deep’ remained at the top of the U.S. pop charts for seven weeks.
The record for the greatest leap is held by Kelly Clarkson for ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ that reached the top slot from 96 position in 2009. However, that was in the song`s second week.
