Adele’s ‘21’ download goes double platinum in US

Adele has become the first artist ever to go double platinum on iTunes in the US.

London: Adele, who recently made headlines for flipping her middle finger at the Brit Music Awards, has become the first artist ever to go double platinum on iTunes in the US. The 23-year-old singer has now shifted two million downloads of ‘21’ on the service, taking her total Stateside sales of the release to well over seven million, a leading daily has reported.
After the Grammys, the singer’s appropriately bagged a 21st week at the top – making ‘21’ the longest-running number 1 album by a woman in US chart history. Her debut album ‘19’ is also in the top five and she has three singles in the Billboard top ten. ANI
