Amy Winehouse beats Jay Z, Kanye West to top of UK albums chart

Washington: Late Amy Winehouse has beaten rappers Jay Z and Kanye West to the top of the UK albums chart for a third consecutive week.

Winehouse’s untimely death last month boosted sales of her 2006 project ‘Back to Black’, and it has remained at number one despite a strong challenge from Jay Z and West’s ‘Watch The Throne’.

Jay Z and West are at number three, with Adele’s ‘21’ taking the second spot, Contactmusic reported.

In the UK singles chart, dance duo Nero scores its first number one with ‘Promises’, while boy band Jls remain in second place with ‘She Makes Me Wanna’.
