Beatles legend Ringo Starr still suffers from ‘stage fright’ half a century on!

London: Though he has been performing for half a century now, former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has revealed that he still gets stage fright before concerts.

The 71-year-old said that he even now gets nervous before playing in public - but gets by with a little help from his friends.

“I feel like running away three seconds before I’m due to hit the stage,” the Daily Mail quoted him as telling the Austrian magazine News.

“That’s why I always run on to it. I would love to coolly stroll on stage but I cannot,” he said.

Starr added: “I love performing but I just have this nervousness every time.”
