London: The Brit Music Awards, which were held last Tuesday, helped boost record sales for Adele and Ed Sheeran in this week’s UK albums chart. Adele’s ‘21’, which was named best British album of the year, has returned to the top of the chart, with her debut album 19 in seventh place.
Sheeran, who walked away with two Brits, climbed two places to number three with his album ‘+’, a leading news channel has reported. International breakthrough winner Lana Del Rey and critics’ choice winner Emeli Sande were also in the top five. Sande’s album, ‘Our Version Of Events’, fell one place to number two this week and Del Rey was in fourth position with ‘Born To Die’. ‘Making Mirrors’ by Gotye rounded off the top five. ANI
