New Delhi: Bad news for the fans of rocker Bryan Adams, who hoped to see him perform in the city, as the organisers have confirmed that the rescheduled gig is off.
The musician is currently in Bangladesh where he will be performing at the world cup Cricket opening ceremony tonight.
The organisers had earlier said that a new venue and date will be announced soon after Adams planned show at the NSIC grounds in Okhla on February 16 was cancelled over security reasons but now they have confirmed that they will instead refund the tickets.
"The Bryan Adams Concert in Delhi which had been rescheduled for 20th February stands cancelled at this point in time due to logistical issues," Sujit Jain, Managing
Director, Netsurf Entertainment said in a press statement today.
"The singer is performing in Kathmandu on 19th February and in London on 21st February. However, Bryan Adams will return to India this year to fulfill his commitment to his fans. People who have purchase the tickets online and through retail outlets will get a complete refund," Jain added.
The `Summer of 69` hitmaker too took to twitter to quash rumours of a planned concert in Gurgaon.
"...at the moment, there is no rescheduled for Delhi. Rumours of
Gurgaon are simply that, I wish it was better news. I`m sorry to all the fans, (sic)" Adams tweeted.
The `18 Till I Die` hitmaker, however, promised his Delhi fans that he will try to make it up later without giving any concrete details.
"...don`t be so sure, we will try and return one day...," the rocker tweeted back to a fan.
Hundreds of the fans had turned up at the venue on February 16 hoping to see their idol perform only to be told that the concert had been cancelled.
