London: Carmen Electra, who had taken a break form the music industry twenty years ago, has announced that she is making a comeback.
The former Playboy model catapulted into the music scene after meeting Prince in the Nineties, signing on to his Paisley Park Records.
Electra, whose real name is Tara Leigh Patrick, is set to release a new single, ‘I Like It Loud,’ on November 13.
The newly-single star, who called off her four-year engagement to rocker Rob Patterson last month, said that recording music again has been vivifying.
“I like it loud, I do! I like everything loud, over the top, dramatic,” the Daily Mail quoted her as telling Glamoholic magazine.
“The music is very danceable, I liked the track and was able to go in and record it in a very low-key studio,” she said.
Electra famously debuted as a female rapper with her 1993 self-titled album; it was an image promoted by Prince, who also provided lyrics for the project.
