Coldplay’s Chris Martin says Mylo Xyloto could be their last album

London: Coldplay’s lead vocalist Chris Martin has revealed that the latest album they are working on could be their last.

The 34-year-old English songwriter says the band has put in everything into the upcoming album named ‘Mylo Xyloto’, and is not left with anything to use in a new album.

“I feel like this record is our last,” the Mirror quoted him as saying.

“I always feel like each record is our last but at the moment I’m in the stage where I really mean it.

“I just can’t imagine how we would do another one, because we’ve thrown everything [into this one],” he said.

Martin was asked if ‘Mylo Xyloto’ will in fact be the band’s last album.

“I don’t know. But I never know. I think it would be bad if I was like, ‘Yeah, we’ve got 15 songs up our sleeves’,” he replied.

“I don’t have anything left. I feel proud of our band at the moment. We’re just so grateful, and very driven.

“How long that will last, I don’t know. I don’t know how long you can maintain that kind of focus...,” he added.
