Diana Ross dedicates tour to Michael Jackson

London: Singing superstar Diana Ross has dedicated her `More Than Yesterday` tour to her late friend `King of Pop` Michael Jackson.

The 66-year-old diva who was a mother figure and mentor to the `Thriller` hitmaker during his days in the `Jackson Five`, decided to pay him a tribute, days before his first death anniversary on June 25.

"I`m dedicating my tour this year to my dear friend Michael Jackson,"Ross told the audience in the packed Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

She went on to perform a medley of Jackson`s hits, including the track `You Are Not Alone`, reported Daily Mail online.

Jackson`s three children Prince, 13, Paris, 12 and eight-year-old Blanket were reportedly in the crowd.

The`Supremes`singer had first met Jackson when he was a 9-year-old and they maintained a very close bond.

In his will Jackson wanted Ross to take care of his children if his mother, Katherine Jackson, was not alive or was unable to do so.
