Elton John gifts Gaga a tea set
London: Pop sensation Lady Gaga was paid in kind for performing at singer Elton John`s charity ball with an antique tea set.
The `Poker Face` star, often photographed clutching a cup and saucer was smitten with Elton`s collection of vintage bone china.
The 63-year-old `Candle In The Wind` singer gave Gaga some of his favourite crockery after she sang at the White Tie and Tiara Ball at his mansion in Windsor, reported Sun online.
"Gaga had a tour of his home and was awestruck by his collection. She kept complimenting him on it. He was tickled by her fascination so presented her with a set," said a source close to Elton.
"She was over the moon with the present. It was a vintage set and probably worth a fair few bob," added the source.
The annual ball, was inspired by Gaga, who made her appearance dressed as a bride out of an Edgar Allan Poe horror tale.
She wore a see-through gown and matching knickers by the young Italian designer, Francesco Sconamiglio, with a gilded cage by Viktor and Rolf over her face, and a treasure trove of diamonds.
Guests at Thursday`s bash raised USD 9 million for Elton`s AIDS Foundation which is using football to engage and educate African youngsters about HIV.
"Football stars are the most powerful role models. Through them we can protect the next generation," said Elton.
