Elton to sing with Plan B for charity

London: English Singer Elton John has agreed to sing on a track by British rapper Plan B to raise money for victims of the devastating floods in Pakistan last year.

Plan B - real name Ben Drew - admits he was inspired to go forward with the fundraiser after filming his directorial debut `Ill Manors`.

"The reason why I first thought of doing the single is because of this guy Riz Ahmed in my film - he`s Pakistani and he put on an event after the floods first happened," contactmusic.com quoted Drew as saying.

"I felt it was wrong that probably because of the s**t going on in the Middle East with the war that, as Westerners, we didn`t seem to give a f**k about Pakistani people.

"Kids were dying in floods, but it wasn`t promoted heavily over here as it was going on. Haiti was promoted when that happened, but it didn`t happen in Pakistan."

"More than 1,500 people were killed in Pakistan after torrential downpours caused the worst flooding in the country for a century," he added.
