Enrique Iglesias announces summer tour in US
Los Angeles: Pop heartthrob Enrique Iglesias has announced his own summer tour after pulling out of pop princess Britney Spears`s much anticipated global gig earlier.
The 35-year-old Spanish singer confirmed that he will hit the road and appear on stage in 20 US cities, reported a website.
Iglesias will however not be a one man show. The pop star will be accompanied by rapper Pit Bull and R&B singer Prince Royce.
"I`m so excited to go out in the States and this time with my good friends Pitbull and Prince Royce. It`s going to be a great show and we hope to see all of you out there. This tour will be unforgettable," said the `Escape` hitmaker.
In March, Iglesias shocked fans after abruptly pulling out of Spears` upcoming tour just hours after the pop star announced it on Good Morning America.
At the time no reason was given for the singer`s abrupt change of heart, which came shortly after Spears gave her first live TV performance in two years in a bid to drum up interest in the tour.
Nicki Minaj, the 26-year-old rapper has since replaced Iglesias as the supporting act.
Iglesias` summer tour will begin on September 22 in Boston and conclude in his home town of Miami on October 22.
