Fleetwood Mac reuniting next year

Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks has confirmed that her former band will get together for a tour in 2013.

Wellington: Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks has confirmed that her former band will get together for a tour in 2013.
The 64-year-old singer appeared on US TV show CBS ‘This Morning’ and backed up hints that had been previously made by fellow band member Lindsey Buckingham in 2011. “It’s the plan. Because that’s what we do. I do my thing, and Lindsey [Buckingham’s] out doing his thing,” Stuff.co.nz quoted Nicks as telling CBS. Arguably one of the world’s most successful bands, Fleetwood Mac’s history has been marked by professional highs and devastating lows as their interpersonal relationships and break-ups have threatened to destroy the band. But despite several fall-outs and successful solo work, the members have managed to keep the band together. The band had last toured together in 2009 and had played a show in New Plymouth. According to Rolling Stone magazine, guitarist Buckingham had previously said that they may even record a new album together. “With Fleetwood Mac, there’s a lot of landmines out there politically and it’s hard to get everybody on the same page at the same time - but I think this might be one of those years where everyone will want to do the same thing,” he said. Fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement about the reunion of the group. “fleetwood mac to reunite?? EPIC. [sic]” one person wrote. ANI
