London: Former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher is in talks to write the James Bond theme for the new 007 film `Skyfall`.
The 44-year-old is reportedly in the running to pen the theme tune for Daniel Craig`s upcoming outing and is set to meet with movie bosses to discuss the project, reported The Sun.
"They`re going to talk about potentially writing and performing the song for next year`s new Bond film. Nothing is signed or official, it`s just being discussed at the moment," a source said.
Gallagher had previously expressed his interest in performing a song for the Bond franchise.
"It`s a bit of a pain that the greatest British agent of all time has to be soundtracked by a bunch of Americans," he had said.
Singer Adele has also been touted for the `Skyfall` soundtrack.
