Janet Jackson jets to Yas Island to celebrate 30 years in pop music

Washington: Thousands of fans flocked to ‘Yas Island’ in Abu Dhabi on Thursday to watch Janet Jackson perform many of her smash hits, as she celebrated her 30 years in pop music.

The 45-year-old pop icon played an energetic set that included a mixture of fan favourites and also some new pieces, at the historic 36 billion dollar development.

According to UAE’s ‘The National’ newspaper, Janet played “all the chart toppers, reflecting her eclectic muse from R’n’B, pop to rock and dance”.

Jackson set the stage on fire by playing hits including, ‘In Control,’ ‘What Have You Done for Me Lately’ and ‘Feedback’.
