Justin Bieber falls victim to cruel Internet pranks

London: Canadian singer Justin Bieber was recently targeted by cruel Internet pranksters.

Hackers infiltrated his YouTube page and fans were allegedly fed false reports the singer had died in a car crash, while others were redirected to porn sites.

Bieber fans were shocked to see his page on the video-sharing website that was redirected to clips which reported the singer had died.

However, bosses at Internet search engine Google, which owns YouTube, took immediate action to correct the problem that was fixed in a couple of hours, reports The Daily Star.

"We took swift action to fix a vulnerability on that was discovered several hours ago. Comments were temporarily hidden by default within an hour, and we released a complete fix for the issue in about two hours. We`re continuing to study the vulnerability to help prevent similar issues in the future," a statement from Google read.
