London: Justin Bieber became the first person to hit the 40 million followers landmark on Twitter as he unveiled his new single ` Heartbreaker`.
The teen icon revealed the title and the cover art of the new song, which depicts a cupid firing his arrow of love at a broken heart, on Instagram with a string of captions, the Mirror reported.
Although the ` Boyfriend` hit maker didn`t confirm whether the track would feature on his forthcoming studio album or the official release date, but the song did get 600k `likes` within an hour of posting it.
In September 2009, the singer had thanked his measly 40 new followers, which had increased from just 2 fans, on the social networking website.
On Wednesday night he thanked his 40 million fans and said that he was grateful.
