Kenny Chesney leads country music award nominations
Washington: Kenny Chesney has bagged maximum number of nominations for the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music awards. He has been nominated under nine categories in all including Entertainer of the Year.
For the fifth year, fans will be able to select the winner for the award. They will be choosing between Chesney, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, and Taylor Swift. They will also be getting an opportunity to vote for “New Artist of the Year.” The nominees were pronounced during first-ever digital press conference organized by ACM.
Swift has topped solo female nominees with three nominations. Besides Entertainer of the Year title, the 22-year-old singer is also up for Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year for “Mean”. Then representing for the groups, Lady Antebellum earned the most nods in that category with 5, including Vocal Group of the Year, a news channel has reported. The award ceremony will be broadcast live on April 1st on CBS.
