On New Year’s Eve Kylie thanked her fans for the year gone by on twitter. “Thank you all for an amazing 2011, Aphrodite’s year, and here’s to K25 in 2012!!!!” the Mirror quoted her as tweeting. It was thought that Minogue was planning to celebrate her 25 years in the music industry in various ways, including some gigs and TV specials. It was rumoured that Minogue could even be performing duets with stars such as Nick Cave, Robbie Williams, her sister Dannii and Madonna. Madonna was thought to be in the running to join Kylie during a possible ITV special. However, Kylie has since taken to Twitter to deny the gossip. When a fan asked her to confirm the duet with Madonna on Twitter, she denied it. “@kylieminogue Is it true that you’re planning to duet w/ Madonna? #MadonnaKylieDuet,” a fan asked. “it’s just a rumour, but of course it would be amazing!! maybe one day:) #MadonnaKylieDuet,” Kylie tweeted her reply.
