The record, which is her 11th studio album features dance track ‘All The Lovers’, which is number nine in the singles chart. ``The single was one of the last tracks to be written for the album. As I was recording it, I knew that All The Lovers had to be the first single - it sums up the euphoria of the album perfectly,” a news daily quoted Kylie as saying. The 12-track album sees her working with Madonna collaborator Stuart Price, who is executive producer. He is also among the songwriters, as well as Scissor Sisters star Jake Shears, Calvin Harris, Nerina Pallot and Tim Rice-Oxley from the band Keane. A spokeswoman for the Official Charts Company said it is 22 years to the week since Minogue`s number one debut album ‘Kylie! The Album’ first entered the UK charts. "I`ve been completely overwhelmed by the reaction to Aphrodite and to hear that the album has gone to number one is the most amazing news. I am ecstatic,” said a delighted Minogue. "My hopes for this album were that people would be moved, that the songs could bring about emotion. The euphoric heart of this album has taken flight and the response has been nothing short of incredible. "My thanks, as always, to the many talented and dedicated people with whom I work and the fans who have been so supportive all these years,” she added. ANI
