Leona seeks solace in charity after split
London: Pop-singer Leona Lewis is indulging herself in animal charity work to cope up with split from her boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa.
The 25-year-old artist, who rose to fame after winning the third series of X Factor, was in bear sanctuary, Romania, last weekend to promote the World Society for the Protection of Animals, a news website reported.
"It`s amazing. The bears are magnificent. After a life of abuse they are finally happy," Lewis said.
The `Bleeding Love` hitmaker who currently completed her debut UK tour, announced her break up with childhood sweetheart Lou Al-Chamaa, last month after a 10-year-long relationship.
The split was said to be amicable and blamed on their busy work schedules has now turned nasty with Al-Chamaa demanding a 1.5 million pounds payout for helping her become famous.
Al-Chamaa claims to have filled in the form for Lewis to audition for UK TV talent show `The X Factor`, which she went on to win, making her a star who is worth millions.
"He believes he has played a huge role in Leona`s success. They have been together for more than 10 years and he has encouraged her to fulfill her potential. He believes he has the rights of a common-law husband," Al-Chamma`s friend said.
