Lil Wayne cancels Oz gigs due to ‘scheduling conflict’

Washington: Rapper Lil Wayne has cancelled his previously announced three shows in Australia due to ‘scheduling conflict’.

The ‘Lollipop’ hit maker was due to perform at a concert in Perth on Friday before performing in Adelaide on Sunday and Melbourne on Tuesday.

However, the rapper has been forced to call off the gigs as he can no longer fly out to Australia as he had planned, Contactmusic reported.

Meanwhile, promoters have assured fans that Wayne will be Down Under in 2012 for an extended headlining tour.

But Australian fans still have a chance to see the hip-hop star this year, as he will be in Sydney supporting Eminem next week.
