Washington: Lindsay Lohan has sued rapper Pitbull for the inclusion of a line in his mega-hit ‘Give Me Everything’, which is disparaging against her.
The 25-year-old actress who has filed a lawsuit under the New York civil rights laws protecting people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes, claims she is “a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild”.
The offensive song, which was co-written by Ne-Yo and Afrojack, contains the lines: “Hustlers move aside, so I``m tiptoein``, to keep flowin``
I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan”.
“The lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff,” TMZ.com quoted her as saying.
Lohan alleges that the appearance of her name in the rapper’s song “causes [Lindsay] to be associated and identified in connection with defendants”.
The suit filed by Stephanie Ovadia seeks an order to stop all the defendants from broadcasting the song, seeking unspecified damaged.
