Lily wants to write for Lady Gaga
London: After winning prestigious Ivor Novella songwriting awards, pop star Lily Allen says she wants to pen lyrics for Lady Gaga.
Allen, who recently announced her plans of quitting recording and live performances, grabbed the `Songwriter of the year` award and the singer was so "overwhelmed" that she has now decided to further explore her lyrical side, The Sun online reported.
"I didn`t realise I was an exceptional songwriter. I still just kind of think my songs are like nursery rhymes - little ditties that I write for myself. I am overwhelmed. I`m still writing songs all the time and I won`t be writing just for myself anymore. I want to write for Lady Gaga," Allen said.
Allen has picked up three Ivor Novello songwriting awards, including songwriter of the year. The 25-year-old was choked with emotion as her hit single `The Fear` scooped prizes for best song musically and lyrically, and most performed work.
