Madge’s daughter to judge mum’s tour back-up dancers

London: Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Ciccone has been given the power to judge the best back-up dancers for her mother’s dance team for her new tour.

Hordes of dancers who turned up for the high-profile audition were left fuming after they came to know they would be hired by the mini ‘Material Girl’ rather than the singer herself.

According to a source, the dancers, who had come to audition at the trendy Pineapple Dance Studios in London, were left sulking about not being judged by the original Material Girl.

“A lot of dancers were upset Madonna wasn’t involved at the audition stage,” the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

“But she knows Lourdes is more than capable of picking from the heats,” the source stated.

Although the 14-year-old will be judging the contestants, the 53-year-old ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ hitmaker has reserved the right of judging the final few and have the last word in who will be joining her for the tour.

“Lourdes does routines every day in her mum’s studios as well as taking classes.

“She can now do jazz, hip-hop, popping, contemporary and even tap.

“That’s why she is qualified to judge who would be the best back-up dancers for her mum,” the source added.
