Madonna’s MDNA gigs `highest-grossing tour of 2012`

London: Madonna’s MDNA concerts have topped the chart of highest-grossing tours of 2012, it has been revealed.

The 54-year-old pop diva’s tour raked in an estimated 141 million pounds, the Sun reported.

However, her rival Lady Gaga only managed to come in at sixth place with 76 million pounds for her ‘Born This Way Ball tour.’

The ‘Like A Virgin’ hit-maker benefited from her loyal fans, who paid big money to see her brandish a gun, show one breast and shout “m*********er” a lot.

In the list compiled by the US music bible Billboard magazine, Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band came second.

Roger Waters was the highest-placed Brit in third, taking home 151million pounds.

Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour by Cirque Du Soleil was placed at fourth position pulling in 90.9 million pounds.
Coldplay came in at fifth position with 91 million pounds.
