Madonna’s teen daughter sings in new album MDNA

Melbourne: Madonna’s daughter Lourdes recorded the song ‘Superstar’ in the new album MDNA but requested the pop queen not to credit her singing debut. The 15-year-old has inherited her mother’s talent but not her love of the spotlight.

“Yes, she has an incredible voice, but she’ll never admit it,” a leading daily has quoted Madonna as telling an American radio interview.

“She’s like ‘Mom, just take my name off the record.’ I said, ‘Too late!’” she added.

The Material Girl’s daughter will join her extensive entourage for the MDNA world tour, which will end in Australia in early 2013.

“Well, she’s definitely going on tour with me. I have to keep my eye on her. She’s 15. But she hasn’t decided what she wants to do. This is how we roll. This is how a Libra rolls. They can never make up their minds,” Madonna said.

“She plays the piano beautifully. She’s an incredible singer. But she’s going through that ‘I don’t anyone to look at me’ phase, so she might be doing hair and make-up or dressing people in the wardrobe department,” she added.

MDNA, which will be released on March 23, is a return to form for the 53-year-old pop innovator with half of the songs made for the dance floor and the other half for pop radio.
