Maroon 5 to release new album

Los Angeles: Maroon 5 band members are all set to launch a new album to follow up their 2012 `Overexposed`. The band has signed with Interscope Records to release the fifth studio album called `V` on September 2 this year, reportedly.

The recording was done in LA over the past year with producers Max Martin, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Shellback and Sam Martin.

`V` witnesses the reunion of Maroon 5 with long-time keyboardist Jesse Carmichael who took a hiatus while the band recorded `Overexposed`.

A new single which is set to be released this summer will precede `Overexposed`. In addition, the band led by Adam Levine has signed a worldwide tour deal with Live Nation for a tour to be announced in the coming weeks.
