Posthumous MJ album sells 3M units worldwide
New York: Michael Jackson is the King of Pop, but he`s being challenged by the current queens of music.
Taylor Swift`s album "Speak Now" is No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week, followed by Susan Boyle`s "The Gift." Their albums got in the way of Jackson`s first posthumous album, "Michael," hitting the top spot.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, "Speak Now" sold 259,000 units and "The Gift" 254,000 units. Jackson`s album debuted at No. 3 with 228,000 copies sold.
Though he`s not No. 1, Jackson`s album sold more than 3 million units worldwide. "Michael" debuted at No. 1 in Germany, Italy, Sweden and the Netherlands. It also made its way to the Top 5 in the United Kingdom, Japan, France, Belgium and Denmark.
