Singer Susan Boyle to get honorary doctorate
London: Singer Susan Boyle will be honoured with a doctorate from a university in her native Scotland.
The star, who shot to fame after appearing in "Britain`s Got Talent" in 2009, will be feted by officials at Edinburgh`s Queen Margaret University, where she studied for a certificate in care.
According to Daily Record newspaper, Boyle will be conferred with a doctorate for her contribution to creative industries. The ceremony will be held July 6, reports dailystar.co.uk.
