Song was not Romney endorsement: Nicki Minaj
Los Angeles: Obama fan Nicki Minaj has dismissed reports suggesting that she supported Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney in her new rap song.
The 27-year-old thanked the US president for not jumping into conclusion when the reports said she supported Romney after she rapped about voting for the Republican Presidential candidate, reported Aceshowbiz.
Minaj raised question about her political preference due to her verses which contained expletives.
When asked to comment about the song, Obama said "I`m not sure that`s actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that, but she likes to play different characters," he explained, pointing out her alter ego. "So I don`t know what`s going on there."
Minaj quickly responded to Obama`s comment, "Ha! Thank you for understanding my creative humor & sarcasm Mr President, the smart ones always do... Awesome! Now I can tell my grandchildren that the 1st black President of the United States took the time to address a Nicki Minaj question."
