Tony Bennett, 85, becomes oldest-living artist to land hit on US pop chart

Washington: With ‘Body & Soul’ duet hitting the 87th rank on the Hot 100 pop chart in America, Tony Bennett has become the oldest-living artist to land a hit on the pop chart.

The 85-year-old singer’s Body & Soul duet with the late Amy Winehouse was released on what would have been Amy’s 28th birthday.

With this hit number Bennett passes the late George Burns, who was 84 when he scored a 1980 hit with I Wish I Was 18 Again, Contactmusic reported.

Bennett last tasted a hit in the U.S. pop chart in November 1965.
