London: Top film studios are reportedly considering making a movie about the journey and fall from grace of cyclist Lance Armstrong.
Fellow cyclist Tyler Hamilton’s book , ‘The Secret Race’, the tell-all that blew the whistle on doping in the sport, is being pitched to movie bosses in Hollywood, The Sun reports.
“Most sports films end in an inspirational victory. It’s hard to work out what the ending would be,” a source said.
According to the paper, names are already being talked-up to play disgraced drug cheat Armstrong, with Matt Damon pedalling to the front.
However, it seems that there is a problem with the story, which is the lack of a happy ending.
“Lance was a hero before this scandal. The current ending is too depressing. It would be a more appealing story with a more hopeful final,” the source added.
