Arshad Warsi feels he is capable of doing better roles

Arshad Warsi feels he is capable of doing better roles Mumbai: Actor Arshad Warsi, best known for his role as `Circuit` in `Munnabhai` series and `Babban` in `Ishqiya`, says that despite having potential, he is not getting offers for good roles.

"Personally I have got way more than what I had asked for or desired. Professionally, I feel I am more talented and capable of doing better things. Sooner or later (offers for good roles) it will happen. It is just a matter of time. Longer the wait, the better it is. Which means I will be here for longer time," Arshad told reporters.

"I am not worried about whether I have got my due in the industry or not."

Arshad made his debut in Amitabh Bachchan`s production company, ABCL`s `Tere Mere Sapne` in 1996. He went on to act in several films but got his due recognition with Rajkumar Hirani`s `Munnabhai MBBS` (2003) where he played a Sanjay Dutt`s side kick.

His work in films like `Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya`, `Salaam Namaste`, `Golmaal` series, `Dhamaal` was appreciated but it was Vishal Bharadwaj`s `Ishqiya` that brought the focus back on his acting calibre.

Arshad admits that he wants more exciting work to come his way.

"I take whatever comes my way. I hear the script, if it excites me I do it.

And if it doesn`t then I don`t do it. There are no rules. I have not made a list of roles I wish to do. I want more exciting work to come my way."

Arshad will be seen next in `Jolly LLB`, a satire on the judicial system. He would also be seen in political action-thriller `Zilla Ghaziabad`, `Dedh Ishqiya`, Ken Ghosh`s `Chambal Safari` and `Joe B Carvalho` with Soha Ali Khan.

The actor had turned producer in 2010 with `Hum Tum Aur Ghost`. The film, starring Arshad and Dia Mirza in the lead role, did not do well at the box office.

"I think I am a terrible producer. I am the worst producer one would have ever seen. I don`t know how to produce a film. I spend money over the top so much so that I end up losing money. I will take time and see and learn how to do it again. I will definitely produce films," he said.
