Mumbai: Fitting into someone else’s shoes, especially the lead actor’s, is no mean feat! The actor essaying a role gives life and face to the character, thereby striking an emotional chord with the viewers.
But when the audiences see someone else trying to fit into the character they have adored and admired for long, it does become very difficult to relate to the same.
Ask Toral Rasputra, for she knows how difficult it would be for her to do what Pratyusha Banerjee has been popular for – making ‘Balika Vadhu’ a household name.
Talking to DNA, Rasputra, the new Anandi of ‘Balika Vadhu’ said, “When I got a call for the role in ‘Balika Vadhu’ I was on cloud nine. It’s a dream come true for me. It’s a huge responsibility and the expectations will be high but I don’t want to think of these things. I have decided to focus on my work and give my best to the show.”
