New Delhi: Sajid Khan might have been at the receiving end for producing a dud film like ‘Himmatwala’, but here’s someone who has come out in support of the director.
The Nawab of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan has decided to bat for the filmmaker.
According to a tabloid, the 42-year-old actor has revealed that he is a part of Sajid’s next project and that one flop film cannot certify a director’s calibre.
“It would be spineless on my part to leave the film just because of one Friday. Sajid always said that he was making a film set in the ’80s and that’s exactly what it was,” the tabloid quoted Saif Ali Khan as saying.
The Nawab of Pataudi, who is busy shooting for ‘Bullet Raja’ in Lucknow these days, also said that he was looking forward to working with Sajid.
“I have seen the film. At least he tried to do something different and that’s what is important. Sajid has made some really successful films like ‘Housefull’. I am keen to work with him in his next film,” he added.
The film in question also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh.
