London: Gwyneth Paltrow took to her lifestyle website to offer up some tips on how to spend Valentine’s Day, including how to make the most of your night between the sheets. In the section entitled ‘Over 18’s only’, the 39-year-old actress, who is married to rocker Chris Martin, recommends couples use a Kama Sutra kit, which includes oil, “pleasure balm” and a feather applicator.
It also comes with honey dust, for a sweet added bonus. Paltrow said that the kit is small enough to carry in your handbag “for fun wherever you end up.”
She also suggested that lovers read erotic manual ‘101 of Grrreat sex’ by Laura Corn. The tome contains 50 sealed envelopes containing a seduction technique for each partner to carry out on one another. She claims the New York Times bestseller is “not just another sex book.”
“The anticipation and mystery makes even the smallest gestures pretty thrilling,” a leading daily has quoted her as writing on her website. In the Goop newsletter, the mother-of-two also suggests waking your loved one up with a special playlist of songs before making breakfast-in-bed.
Other romantic ideas include a personalised DIY bouquet of flowers and several recipes for a romantic dinner for two. She said that even though celebrating is important, every day should be special.
“Doing something romantic for your loved one on Valentine’s Day is sweet. Doing something sweet for your loved one on any other day is romantic,” she wrote.
