I embrace my sexuality on stage and play mum at home, says Christina Aguilera
London: Christina Aguilera has admitted that she can balance very well between her on-stage persona and home life.
The 31-year-old singer, who divorced Jordan Bratman- father of her son Max- last year, said she can “wear different hats” in different parts of her life.
“The older you get, the more important it is to embrace your body and your sexuality,” the Sun quoted Anguilera as saying.
“I really have a good compartmentalising system. I can wear different hats — for example, the artist hat. When I’m on that stage and I’ve been in the wardrobe getting dressed up to play a character, I am living out a specific moment in a song,” she said.
“The purpose of it is to come off tongue-in-cheek, or playful, and experience my own sexuality and embrace what I am doing as a woman,” the songstress said.
“That hat is very different to the one I wear when I go home at night and I tuck my son in and I’m singing Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,” she added.
The ‘Genie in a Bottle’ hitmaker also asserted that her son Max means absolute world to her, and explained that she wants him to grow up knowing that she stayed true to herself as an artist.
