PM Modi meets CEOs of top South Korean companies

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met the CEOs of some of the top South Korean companies at the Korea-India CEO Forum here, holding a one-on-one session with each one of them.

Seoul: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met the CEOs of some of the top South Korean companies at the Korea-India CEO Forum here, holding a one-on-one session with each one of them.

Some of the CEOs present were Samsung Electronics president Park Sangjin; LG Electronics president Kim Jin-hong; Hyundai Motor Company president Chung Jinhaeng; Hyundai Heavy Industries CEO Choi Gil-sun; Shinhan Bank president Cho Yong-byong; Lotte CEO Kim Yong-su and Korean Air Lines Co. Ltd. president and COO Chi Chang-hoon, among others.

Earlier, while addressing the forum, Prime Minister Modi said that he admires the entrepreneurship of the Korean people, adding that he has a high regard for the way in which the country has created and sustained their global brands.

He further said that the sectors in which South Korea is strong are the areas which are important for India, adding that his government is working `day and night` for faster and inclusive growth.
