Zac Efron laughs off red carpet condom gaffe

London: Zac Efron, who had dropped a condom on the red carpet while attending the premiere of a children’s animated film ‘The Lorax’ last week, has now scoffed off the blunder. The irony of dropping a condom on the red carpet while promoting a children’s animated film has not been lost on Efron. During an awkward interview where the actor was asked about the incident he laughed it off and noted that safe sex was ‘a great message’. The presenter asked Efron to describe what happened and with raised eyebrows he said: “I don’t want to take you through it.” Efron confirmed that he did drop a condom onto the red carpet last week at Universal Studios, Hollywood last week. “I never really had a pocket checking policy prior to going onto the red carpet but now I have full instated one,” a leading daily has quoted him as saying. And the cheeky High School Musical star even turned the table on the presenter who appeared to stumble on the word ‘condom’. “That was really hard for you to say that!” he joked. He added that promoting safe sex was ‘a great message to add to the many messages of the film.’ ANI
