Justin Bieber branded `too sexy` for Oman gig

Justin Bieber’s latest concert in the Persian Gulf state of Oman has been cancelled as he was deemed too sexy to perform there.

London: Justin Bieber’s latest concert in the Persian Gulf state of Oman has been cancelled as he was deemed too sexy to perform there.
The concert had been denounced by hardline Muslim leaders who feared for the “moral health” of their women. A fierce anti-Bieber campaign was built up on websites, forums and blogs and radio station Hi FM, which was to sponsor the concert, received bomb threats and warnings that the venue of the concert will be besieged, the Daily Star reported. Now the teen icon has opted for a second show in Dubai, where there is a much more relaxed regime. A source said that many people here were horrified by what they had heard about the 19-year-old singer. The source said that people of Oman didn’t want him to perform there and he was called a reprobate and words like debauchery and Haraam, which in Islam means a sinful act that displeases God, were used. The insider asserted that in Islamic countries a person cannot run around with their shirt off. The insider added that Bieber’s management didn’t pull off from the concert, the promoters did, even though they had ploughed nearly 1 million pounds into it. ANI
