Von Teese to launch her own range of lingerie

London: American actress Dita Von Teese is set to release her first lingerie range under her own name.The burlesque star has signed a global licensing agreement with Australia`s Lime Door brands for a collection of underwear to appear with her name, reports contactmusic.com.

As part of the deal, Von Teese and the firm will also become co-owners of other brands, including a line of dresses. "I`m delighted to be in the process of creating both a line of retro-glamorous clothing and lingerie," she said. "I`d like to remind women, especially in America, that lingerie can be beautiful and functional. You don`t have to have your work lingerie and your date lingerie - it can be the same thing. I want to do bigger sizes, because I have a lot of female fans that are curvy girls," she added. The brands will first be introduced to Australia later this year, with plans to expand to Britain and other markets. The Von Teese collection will include sizes from extra small to plus. IANS
