Bappi Lahiri to visit Chennai to release debut Tamil song

Chennai: Bollywood playback singer Bappi Lahiri will visit Chennai Thursday to release a Tamil number he has crooned in upcoming romantic-drama ‘Karuppampatti’.

"Bollywood music legend Bappi Lahiri is coming to Chennai to release his song from the film ‘Karuppampatti’," a source close to the film`s unit told reporters.

Lahiri has crooned a number called ‘Disco Naughty Naughty Raja’ in the film, which is directed by debutant Prabhu Raja Cholan.

This will be the first Tamil song for the 60-year-old.

While Ajmal Ameer plays the lead in the film, Aparnaa Bajpai and Alice Tantardini too have prominent roles. The film also features Archana, MS Bhaskar, Jagan, Srinath and Devadarshini.

Sundar K has produced the film, which has music by Kannan.
