Gujarati actress commits suicide in Surat

Surat: Gujarati actress Dimple Hingu allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison, police said on Saturday. She was 24. "Dimple had yesterday evening left her house in Varachcha area and was later found near it in not so stable condition by someone known to her," they said. "She was admitted to a private hospital where it was discovered that she had consumed poison," police said. Ms Hingu had acted in Gujarati feature films like `Rangilo Ratnakalakar`, `Mota Ghare Maru Sasru` besides few documentary and short films. The motive behind the extreme step is not known, they said. A case has been registered in this regard and further investigations are underway. PTI
