Kamal Haasan's 'Uttama Villain' to release today

New Delhi: Veteran star Kamal Haasan's controversial film 'Uttama Villain', which was due for release on May 1, 2015 saw many of its shows being cancelled in a number of states such as Karnataka, Andhra and Telangana.

However, reports now suggest that 'Uttama Villain' is ready to hit the silver screens today. Reports further indicate that Kamal Haasan's much-awaited film was delayed from its initial release due to financial issues, although no official statement was made about the reasons.

As the film hit the roadblock, Haasan's fans staged protest and raised slogans against the delay.
