Chennai: Karthik Subbaraj, who directed Tamil superhit ‘Pizza’, says he would love to direct the Hindi remake of the film provided he gets the opportunity.
"I am very much interested in directing the Hindi remake of my film. I haven`t got any confirmation yet, but the talks are on about who is likely to direct the film. I would be more than happy to wield the megaphone if given the opportunity," Karthik told IANS.
Bejoy Nambiar has bought the Hindi remake rights of the film and will produce it under his home banner Getaway Films.
"Pizza", which revolves around a pizza delivery boy whose life undergoes dramatic changes whilst on one of the home delivery trips, was one of the most successful low-budget films of 2012.
The film, produced by C.V Kumar, stars Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan in the lead. It was dubbed in Telugu and will be soon be remade in Kannada.
Meanwhile, Karthik is currently busy wrapping up the script for his upcoming Tamil action-drama.
"I am currently working on the screenplay for my next Tamil action-drama film. We are yet to zero in on the cast but we hope to start shooting by March end," he said.
