Mumbai: It’s nonsensical and uses broken English for lyrics yet India can’t stop listening to ‘Kolaveri Di.’ Apparently, the catchy tune of ‘Kolaveri Di’, which literally means ‘Killer Rage’ has captured the imagination of the nation and went on to register more than 11 million views on YouTube. Sung by matinee idol Rajinikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush for his upcoming flick ‘3’, the Tamglish (a mix of Tamil and English) song is about a guy who has been dumped by his girlfriend. Talking to a daily, Anirudh Ravichander, the music director of ‘Kolaveri Di’ said, “We all expected it to be a hit but not the kind of rage that it has become today.”
