Aiming to cater to the huge market of Punjabi audience across the border, ‘Ajj De Ranjhe’, an upcoming romantic comedy, is all set to be released in Pakistan.

Chandigarh: Aiming to cater to the huge market of Punjabi audience across the border, ‘Ajj De Ranjhe’, an upcoming romantic comedy, is all set to be released in Pakistan.
Director-producer of the film Manmohan Singh also said that the film will be simultaneously released in Canada, New Zealand, UK, USA, Australia and European countries besides India. "We are happy to have got permission from the concerned authorities in Pakistan enabling us to release the film there simultaneously on September 7. Pakistan has a huge population of Punjabi speaking people and we hope the film will do well and will be liked by the people there," Singh said. "This is like a dream come true in context of Punjabi films. Without including the Pakistan`s Punjabi audience, the ambit of Punjabi films is very limited. We are hoping that will change with release of this film across the border," he added. Singh, credited with hit films like ‘Mera Pind- My Home’ and ‘Mitti Wajaan Mardi’, said that ‘Ajj De Ranjhe’, a satire on Punjab`s police force, is a light hearted romantic comedy and complete entertainer for all age groups. The movie revolves around working of Punjab police cops and what general public thinks of them and has been shot extensively in Chandigarh. Actors Aman Dhaliwal, Gurleen Chopra, Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi and Kim Verma play main roles in the film alongwith Deep Dhillon, Rana Ranbir, Paramvir Singh, Saminder Mahal, Rana Jang Bahadur and Darshan Aulakh.
