Rajinikanth offers prayers at Tirupati

Mumbai: Tamil superstar Rajinikanth visited Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh to offer his prayers to Lord Venkateshwara.

The veteran actor paid obeisance to the Almighty, to thank him for giving him a new lease of life post his prolonged illness since April. Rajini was ailing with kidney dysfunction, following which he had to be flown to Singapore for treatment.

The 60 year old was accompanied by his wife Latha, his daughters Soundarya and Aishwarya and son-in-laws Ashwin and Dhanush. The actor and his family were at the Tirumala temple for over 30 minutes, a website reported.

Rajini, who is scheduled to start shooting for his latest `Rana` also starring Bollywood hottie Deepika Padukone in December. He was advised rest until November but on Shah Rukh Khan’s request, the superstar paid a quick visit to Mumbai to shoot a cameo for `RA.One`.
